Christmas in the Commons brings festivities to the New Lenox Village Commons throughout the holiday season. 

On Saturdays and Sundays from December 2 through December 23, join us in the Commons to shop at the holiday market, skate on the synthetic ice skating rink, visit Santa, enjoy wagon rides, and more! 

Two skating rinks, presented by the New Lenox Community Park District, will be available for skating (at your own risk) from December 2 through January 6. Skate rentals are available on select dates and hours, and the full schedule can be viewed at newlenox.net/events.

The fun is highlighted by the Village Commons' dazzling display of lights, which covers the entire park and features the largest illuminated Santa Claus in the United States. Next to Santa, visitors will also find a special mailbox that leads directly to the North Pole. Be sure to have your letters to Santa ready! Letters must be mailed by December 16 with a return address to receive a response from Santa. The light display will be available for viewing any evening after sunset from December 2 until January 6.
