After your order is shipped we will provide you with a tracking
number.
Please track the package. You must alert the recipient or the nurses station
that a package is arriving or already in the hospital. In most cases the
tracking information will also provide the department and the person that
signed for the package. This information will help the nurse find the person
that signed for the package and get the package to the patient faster.
Our gifts are usually delivered to shipping and receiving and that department
is responsible to sort out patient deliveries. They routinely take a long
time and are very slow. We even add a large white label stating that this
item must be delivered to the patient in a timely fasion in hopes that
will speed up the delivery process.
Remember, the patient will have to carry everything home and in some
cases they do not have the resources or the time to take everything and
will leave things behind. We strongly suggest for the patient that you
deliver to their home where they are in a more relaxed environment and
more likely to enjoy the item and eat the cookies.
We understand that many people insist on it arriving at the hospital
and if a problem arises we have few options on fixing it. We just do not
have the resources to track every package and follow up with the hospital.
We tried early on and found that it takes 3 or 4 phone calls and at least
a 1/2 hour to finally get an answer or track down a package. Hospitals
also do not refund money or pay for damaged items. They will also not
accept packages if a patient is released and extra charges will incur
to get the package back and or re-route it with the shipping company.
If you wish to contact us regarding a possible address change then reply
to the order email immediately and we will do that for you. You can also
call 630-766-3040 to make the change.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
